The Aegean is a 3-light chandelier built on a polished brass frame with hand-forged scroll arms, a wire-cage central column and cut-glass droplets. Each of the three arms holds a candle-style E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately, 60W max per socket). The polished brass finish reflects ambient light and gives a warm metallic glow that complements both period and contemporary interiors.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and formal reception areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the chandelier drops between 500mm and 975mm depending on the chain length chosen at installation. The 380mm diameter suits rooms of 12-18m² without overwhelming smaller spaces or disappearing in larger ones. The glass droplets catch light from the bulbs and scatter small reflections around the room, adding decorative depth beyond the direct illumination.

The scroll arms extend from a central polished brass hub that supports the wire-cage column — a design detail that gives the fitting vertical presence without adding bulk. The cut-glass droplets sit below each arm on brass pins and can be individually removed for cleaning. The polished brass requires occasional buffing to maintain the high-shine finish; untreated brass will tarnish gradually to a darker patina over months of exposure to air, which some buyers prefer for a lived-in classical look.

The Aegean takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers use warm-white LED candle bulbs in the 4-6W range (2700K-3000K) to match the polished brass tone and reduce heat near the glass droplets.

What drop height is needed?

The chandelier body is 420mm tall and sits on a chain adjustable between 500mm and 975mm. For a standard 2.4m ceiling height in a dining room, most installers set the drop so the base of the fitting sits 1.8-2m above floor level, or 650-750mm above a dining table surface.

How is the brass maintained?

Polished brass can be buffed with a soft dry cloth to maintain the high shine. If left untreated the brass will tarnish gradually to a darker patina. Some buyers prefer this aged look; others use a brass cleaner periodically to restore the original reflective finish.

Can the glass droplets be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The cut-glass droplets are pinned to the brass frame and can be individually removed. Wipe glass with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly before refitting to avoid water spots.
