Description

Three opal glass globes sit under a shallow antique brass backplate, held close to the ceiling so light spreads across a room rather than pooling in one spot. The glass is a soft milky opal that hides the G9 capsules inside and turns their output into an even glow. At 50cm across it reads as a generous circle overhead while keeping very little depth, which is rather the point of a flush fitting. The antique brass is a warm aged gold rather than a bright polished one.

It earns its place where a pendant would hang too low: hallways, landings, a bedroom under a sloped section, a kitchen where headroom is tight. The wide diameter suits a hall that needs one central light doing all the work, and the cluster of globes gives enough spread for a dining area or a good sized landing. Fit dimmable lamps and you can take the level down for the evening, and it is LED capsules we would reach for here, with a suitable dimmer chosen to match them.

Metalwork carries the antique brass finish, while the opal shades do the softening. Keep it to dry rooms indoors. For upkeep, wait until the capsules are cool and the power is off, then take a dry microfibre cloth over the glass; nothing abrasive and no sprays near the lampholders, as the aged brass is happiest left alone. It carries a one year warranty.
