Description

The Adastra V36-VR is a 100V line volume control (attenuator) rated at 36W, built for commercial background music and public address systems. It adjusts speaker output across 10 steps, with eight 3dB steps and two 6dB steps, so you can set levels room by room without touching the amplifier. The unit comes complete with a plastic surface mount back box, an ABS faceplate and a matching plastic knob, so it is ready to fit straight out of the packaging.

The key feature here is the 24V relay. When triggered from a fire alarm panel, the relay bypasses the attenuator and returns the speaker to full volume. This makes sure emergency announcements are heard clearly, even if someone has turned the local level right down. The relay is rated at 24V, 50mA, which suits most standard alarm interface outputs.
