Description
The Adastra V12-VR is a 100V line volume control (or attenuator) built for commercial and multi-room audio setups. It handles up to 12W and adjusts level across 10 steps, made up of eight 3dB steps and two 6dB steps, so you can set the right volume for each zone. The unit comes complete with a plastic surface mount back box, an ABS faceplate and a matching plastic knob, giving you everything needed to fit it in one go.
What sets this model apart is the built-in 24V relay. When triggered from a fire alarm panel, the relay bypasses the attenuator and returns the speakers to full volume. This means announcements and alarm signals are heard clearly regardless of where the control was set, which is a common requirement for public address and emergency systems in commercial buildings. The relay runs at 24V, 50mA.
The frequency response covers 35Hz to 20kHz, so it works well across the audio range used in background music and paging. Assembled dimensions are 85 x 85 x 75mm including the back box, with a mounting depth of 47mm, making it straightforward to plan around when wiring a 100V line system. It suits pubs, shops, offices, hotels and any site where you want local level control alongside a fire alarm override.
