Description
The Adastra UA60 is a compact 100V mixer-amplifier built for small to medium PA installations. It packs a 5-input mixer into a half-width 1U housing, so it fits neatly into tight spaces. Three switchable mic/line inputs, an RCA line input and a 3.5mm Aux input are each handled by front panel volume controls, with a Master output control to set the overall level. The design keeps things simple for background music, paging and general announcement work.
Output is mono and runs to either a 100V line or an 8 ohm speaker load, connected via a removable screw terminal (Euroblock) connector on the rear panel. This gives you the flexibility to drive long cable runs across a building on 100V line, or connect low impedance speakers where that suits the job better. Channel 1 has switchable +20V phantom power for condenser microphones, available on both the XLR and the rear terminals. Amplifier construction is Class D with a transformer output, and there are 24V relay contacts for fire alarm mute.
The UA60 is supplied with rack-mounting hardware that can be configured to mount a single unit against a wall or under a worktop, so you are not limited to a standard rack. The same hardware also lets you mount two units side by side across a full 1U rack space. Technical figures include THD below 0.4% at 1kHz, a frequency response of 100Hz to 18kHz, and a signal to noise ratio of 80dB on line and 75dB on mic. Input sensitivity is -10dB on line and -45dB on mic, with a 1k ohm mic/line input impedance.

Frequently Asked
Can the UA60 drive both 100V line and low impedance speakers?
Yes. The mono output connects via a removable screw terminal on the rear and works with either a 100V line system or an 8 ohm low impedance speaker load, so you can choose whichever suits the installation.
How many inputs does it have?
Five input channels: three switchable mic/line inputs, one RCA line input and one 3.5mm Aux input. Each has its own front panel volume control, plus a Master output control.
Does it support phantom power for condenser microphones?
Channel 1 has switchable +20V phantom power, available on both the XLR input and the rear terminals, so you can use a condenser mic where needed.
Can I rack-mount the UA60?
Yes. It comes with rack-mounting hardware that can be set up to mount a single unit against a wall or under a worktop, or to fit two units side by side in a 1U rack space.
Is there a fire alarm mute function?
Yes. The UA60 has 24V relay mute contacts, so it can be tied into a fire alarm system to mute audio when triggered.
What is the frequency response and distortion figure?
The frequency response runs from 100Hz to 18kHz, with total harmonic distortion below 0.4% at 1kHz.
