Description

The Adastra TGM4 is a two-way intercom built for conversations through a glass partition. It comprises a desktop main unit with a gooseneck microphone and a separate client speakerphone that sits on the other side of the counter. The speakerphone can be mounted on glass or on a surface, and positioned horizontally or vertically to suit the client area. Typical uses include ticket booths, bank counters, petrol stations and reception desks where staff and visitors are separated by a screen.

Each side has its own volume control, so you can set levels independently and work over the ambient noise in the room. Muting and anti-feedback circuitry keeps two-way conversation clear, and a signal indicator on each microphone shows when audio is passing. Operation is hands-free, so staff can keep working while they talk. There is also a separate output for recording both sides of the conversation, which is handy where you need a record of transactions or enquiries.

The main unit measures 158 x 87 x 46mm and weighs 347g including the microphone, while the compact client speakerphone is 91 x 77 x 23mm and weighs 87g with its hard-wired 1.6m lead. The gooseneck microphone is fixed to the main unit. Connections are made through a 3.5mm TRS socket for the speakerphone and a 3.5mm stereo record-out socket. Power comes from the supplied 9Vdc 300mA adaptor with a UK plug, and controls cover the two volume levels plus power on/off.

Frequently Asked

How does the TGM4 work through glass?

The client speakerphone mounts onto the glass or a nearby surface and carries the conversation to and from the desktop main unit, so staff and visitors can talk clearly through the partition without opening it.

Can I record the conversation?

Yes. A 3.5mm stereo record-out socket provides a separate output that captures both sides of the conversation for logging or reference.

Is a power supply included?

Yes. The TGM4 comes with a 9Vdc 300mA adaptor fitted with a UK plug.

Can the client speakerphone be mounted vertically?

Yes. The speakerphone can be positioned horizontally or vertically, and mounted on glass or on a counter to suit the client area.

Does it help with noisy environments?

Each side has an independent volume control to overcome ambient noise, and muting plus anti-feedback circuitry keeps two-way speech clear and intelligible.

The client speakerphone has a 1.6m hard-wired lead connecting it to the main desktop unit.
