Description
The Adastra SA240 is a public address mixer-amplifier built into a surface-mount secure box, giving you a complete sound system in one lockable cabinet. It delivers 240W RMS and can drive either 100V line speakers or low impedance speakers via the binding post terminals inside the cabinet. This flexibility suits buildings such as schools, offices and places of worship where both security and simple day to day operation matter.
A handheld UHF wireless microphone is included, with the receiver built into the unit and a wireless range up to 50m. Two switchable wired mic/line inputs are provided on combo XLR/jack sockets, each with switchable phantom power and priority override that mutes the auxiliary inputs during announcements. For music, the internal media player handles USB/SD playback, a DAB+/FM radio tuner and Bluetooth 5.0 pairing. Line sources can also connect to the Aux 1 RCA sockets or the separate Aux 2 RCA and 3.5mm jack sockets.
Each channel has its own bass and treble equalisation, and a male XLR line output lets you pass the signal on to another amplifier or recorder. For emergency use, 24V terminals on the underside patch into an alarm panel to mute everything except the Mic 1 input, so priority messages always get through. The Class-D amplifier with output transformer runs at high efficiency, and the strong steel cabinet measures 375 x 345 x 160mm and weighs 9.25kg. It ships ready to wire in, so you can mount it, connect your speakers and go.

Frequently Asked
Can the SA240 drive both 100V and low impedance speakers?
Yes. The amplifier has 8 Ohm, common and 100V speaker outputs on binding post terminals inside the cabinet, so you can run either 100V line speakers or low impedance speakers.
What is the rated power output?
The SA240 delivers 240W RMS from a Class-D amplifier with an output transformer.
Is a microphone included?
Yes. A handheld UHF wireless microphone is supplied, with the receiver built into the unit and a carrier frequency of 864.5MHz. The transmitter takes 2 x AA alkaline batteries and has a wireless range up to 50m.
What music sources can I play through it?
There is an internal media player for USB/SD, a DAB+/FM radio tuner and Bluetooth 5.0 pairing. You can also connect line sources to the Aux 1 RCA or Aux 2 RCA/3.5mm jack inputs.
How does the emergency mute work?
24V terminals on the bottom of the unit connect to an alarm panel. When triggered, all inputs are muted except Mic 1, so priority announcements can still be made.
How many wired mic inputs are there?
Two switchable mic/line inputs on combo XLR/jack sockets, each with switchable phantom power and priority override.
