Description

The Adastra RX45 is a 1U rack-mountable audio matrix that feeds 4 selectable inputs to 5 stereo outputs. It includes an inbuilt audio player with playback from USB media, a DAB+ tuner or Bluetooth 5.0, so you can run background music without a separate source unit. Each zone output has its own push button and LED ladder on the front panel, letting you pick the input source and adjust level and tone from the master section. A stereo 3.5mm headphone jack lets you monitor the selected zone directly.

For remote operation, connect optional TR86 wall plates over standard CAT5 cable and control source and level for any zone from the wall. A local audio connection is also available at each TR86 plate. On the input side you get a paging microphone on XLR with switchable +24V phantom power, three stereo line inputs on RCA (phono), and a call station input on RJ45. Emergency handling is covered by 24V mute contacts and a dedicated emergency audio input, useful where the system needs to override during an alert.

The RX45 grows with your site. Cascade up to 8 units using dual CAT5 links, with DIP switches assigning one of 8 IDs per unit, giving up to 40 individual zones in total. Further DIP switches let you share the audio player from one unit across one or more connected slaves. Line signal to noise ratio is 73dB, THD+N is under 0.1% at 1kHz and frequency response runs 20Hz to 20kHz within ±3dB. The unit measures 44 x 190 x 483mm and weighs 2.608kg, with an IEC lead included for the 100-250Vac supply.
