Description

The Adastra RS241 is a 100V line slave amplifier built for medium to large installations. It sits in a 19" rack and uses a Class-D design that keeps it efficient and lightweight, so it won't add much weight or heat to your rack. Slave inputs accept standard line level audio from a mixer or an RM series mixer amplifier, and slave outputs can be cascaded onto further RS slaves when you need to build out a larger system.

All line level inputs connect via RCA sockets (phono in the UK) or hard-wired through removable screw terminals, also called Euroblock connectors. A separate removable screw terminal handles the 100V input, which lets the RS241 extend an existing 100V installation by connecting straight to the 100V speaker feed, or picking up a long-distance 100V feed over standard double-insulated cable. There's also a 24V terminal for connection to a security or alert panel, so the output mutes when an alarm is triggered. Speaker outputs run at 100V or low impedance, switchable and stable down to 2 Ohms, which means you can connect multiple low impedance speakers if you prefer.

Power comes from a 175-264Vac 50Hz IEC supply, with a master volume control on the front and THD held below 1.0%. Frequency response is 90Hz-20kHz on the 100V setting and 17Hz-90kHz at 2 Ohms. The RS241 is one of a range of RS slave amplifiers, so you can pick the power rating that suits the job and add more units later as the system grows.
