Description

The Adastra RMS1202 is a multi-channel 100V slave amplifier built for zoned public address and background music setups. It provides two independent amplifier channels rated at 120W each, with outputs for either 100V line speakers or 4-16 Ohm speakers. Each channel has its own line input, which can be switched to a global auxiliary input so you can feed the same source to several channels when needed. That flexibility lets you run the unit as a high power slave or as a fully independent zoning system across a multi-room install.

A paging microphone input handles voice alerts, with vox override so the mic ducks the music automatically when someone speaks. The balanced XLR mic input on the rear panel includes switchable +20V phantom power for condenser paging mics, along with gain, bass, treble and vox controls. For emergency use, a 24V mute terminal on a Euroblock connector can be wired to an alarm or evacuation panel, muting the outputs when triggered. Each output offers level, bass, treble and a channel/aux switch.

Class-D amplifier circuitry and efficient toroidal transformers keep heat and size down, so the whole unit fits into a compact 1U rack-mount (rackmount) housing. The auxiliary input is on L+R RCA (phono) connectors, and the amplifier runs from a 170-264Vac 50/60Hz IEC mains supply. It suits shops, offices, bars and similar spaces where you want separate audio zones with a shared paging and emergency setup. The RMS-series design pairs simple front-panel control with the connectivity needed for a permanent installation.

Frequently Asked

What power does the RMS1202 deliver?

It provides two independent channels rated at 120W each, driving either 100V line speakers or 4-16 Ohm speakers.

Can I send one source to multiple channels?

Yes. Each channel has its own line input that can be switched to the global auxiliary, so the same source can feed several channels at once.

Does it support paging microphones?

Yes. There is a balanced XLR paging mic input on the rear panel with vox override and switchable +20V phantom power for condenser mics.

How does emergency muting work?

A 24V mute contact on a Euroblock terminal can be connected to an alarm or evacuation panel to override and mute the outputs.

How much rack space does it need?

The Class-D design and toroidal transformers allow it to fit into a single 1U rack-mount slot.

What are the input connectors?

The auxiliary input uses L+R RCA (phono) connectors, and the microphone input is a balanced XLR.
