Description

The Adastra RM4460 is a 1U 19-inch rack-mountable quad amplifier built around four independent class-D amplifiers, each rated at 60W. Every output can feed either 100V line speakers or low impedance (4 or 8 ohm) speakers, chosen by connecting the upper or lower screw terminals on the rear panel. This makes it a practical option for zoned background music and announcements across shops, offices, gyms and similar venues where each area needs its own sound.

Each of the four inputs can be routed to any or all of the four output zones, and every zone has its own level control plus a line level output for adding more amplifiers or powered speakers later. Inputs include a paging mic with switchable Vox to override other channels, two balanced mic/line inputs with switchable phantom power, and a separate line input on RCA or screw terminals. Channels 1 to 3 have bass and treble controls for tone adjustment. An internal media player handles audio from a USB pen drive, FM radio and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless playback from a smartphone.

For life safety systems, 24V EMG contacts on screw terminals mute inputs 2 to 4 when triggered by a fire alarm. If area-specific paging is needed, the optional CS4 call station (953.146UK) connects over RJ45 and gives you a fully independent zoning setup. The RM4460 measures 482 x 283 x 43mm, weighs 6.85kg and runs from a 100/240Vac IEC supply. Protection covers short circuit, overload and overheating, so the unit stays reliable in continuous background music use.

Can the RM4460 drive both 100V and low impedance speakers?

Yes. Each of the four outputs can deliver up to 60W to either 100V line speakers or low impedance 4 or 8 ohm speakers, selected by using the upper or lower screw terminals on the rear panel.
