Description
The Adastra RF-12U is a 12U open rack frame for mounting 19" equipment, built for either free standing or wall mounted use. It arrives as a self-assembly kit and goes together with basic tools, so you can set it up to suit your space. The open sides keep everything accessible and let air move freely around your gear, which helps with cooling for amplifiers, mixers and other rack kit.
Construction is powder coated 1.2mm cold rolled steel, with two diagonal side braces and a mid bottom brace for stability. It takes a static load of up to 100kg and accommodates equipment up to 500mm deep. Four heavy duty threaded feet are supplied for free standing use, and they adjust so you can level the frame on uneven surfaces or add clearance underneath. For wall mounting, the rear sections have keyhole and round punchings so you can fix it securely to a solid wall.
The frame measures 510mm wide by 510mm deep, and comes with 10 cage nuts, screws and cup washers to get you started. It is a practical, low cost way to house 19" rackmount equipment where a full enclosed cabinet is not needed. The open format keeps every panel and connection within reach, which makes it handy for installations where you are patching, servicing or changing kit regularly.
