Description

This is a 20 piece rack fixing kit from Adastra, made for mounting equipment to standard 19" rack strip. Each pack gives you 20 M6 captive nuts, 20 M6 cross-head bolts and 20 plastic cup washers, so you have a matched set ready to go rather than hunting through a drawer for odd fasteners.

The captive nuts clip into the square holes in the rack strip and hold their thread in place, which makes fitting a unit far easier when you are working single-handed. The cross-head bolts pair with them cleanly, and the plastic cup washers sit under each bolt head to protect the faceplate finish and spread the load. The M6 thread is the common size used on most rack cabinets and open frames, so the kit suits a wide range of gear.

With 20 of each part you have enough for four or five typical rack units, or a useful stock of spares to keep alongside your rack. Each washer measures roughly 10 x 10mm and the full pack weighs around 180g.
