Description

The Adastra RACK-IT-1U is a straightforward way to fix rack-mount equipment vertically against a wall or under a counter-top. Supplied as a pair, one bracket for each side, they let you suspend a single rack-mountable appliance by its own rack-ears without the cost or bulk of a full rack cabinet. This keeps individual pieces of kit tidy and accessible while saving space and installation time.

For wall mounting, you measure 485mm between the outer edge of each bracket and fix them at level height to a wall or upright surface. The appliance then hangs from the brackets using its rack-ears. Four screws and wall plugs are included per bracket for fixing, along with M6 screws and nuts for mounting the rack equipment to each side. Made from 2mm steel plate, the brackets hold their shape under load.

If you need to fit deeper or heavier equipment, add a second pair of RACK-ITs to support the rear. This lets you install rack units under a counter top or work surface with the rear held firmly in place. The result is a simple, low-cost mounting method that keeps all controls and connections within reach, and avoids the added expense of a rack cabinet (rack enclosure) for one-off installations.
