Description

The Adastra OD5-W8 is a pair of water resistant speakers built for panel mounting in demanding spaces. With an IP35 rating, they suit installations in swimming pools, bathrooms, and marine settings where damp and splashing are part of everyday use. Each speaker uses a plastic enclosure and comes finished in white, so they sit quietly against most ceilings and walls.

These are 2-way speakers, pairing a 13cm (5") woofer with a polypropylene cone and a 5cm (2") tweeter with a mylar cone. A built-in crossover splits the signal between the two drivers, and the pair handle up to 80W max at 8 ohms. The dispersion angle of 140 degrees helps spread sound across a room rather than aiming it at one spot, which works well for background music and PA (public address) announcements.

Connection is made through 6mm spade terminals, and the speakers are supplied in pairs with a fixing kit and gasket included. The gasket helps seal the speaker against the mounting surface, adding to the water resistance. They cope with humidity up to 95% and a temperature range of -20 to 85°C, so they hold up in humid or variable conditions.
