Description

The Adastra ML432 is a 1U rack-mountable mixer built for installed sound systems. It gives you four balanced microphone inputs on 6.3mm jacks, with an XLR fitted to mic 1 that also carries +20V phantom power for a condenser paging or voice-over mic. Alongside these you get three stereo auxiliary line inputs on L+R RCA connectors, so you can bring in background music sources or other line-level equipment without running short on channels.

Mic channel 1 doubles as a priority input with adjustable voice-over muting, ducking the auxiliary channels when someone speaks. There is a separate priority input too, which accepts either a line-level signal on a 6.3mm jack or a connection from an existing 100V line PA system for emergency paging. That makes the ML432 useful either as a master mixer in its own right or as an extension mixer feeding a larger setup. Outputs are stereo on 6.3mm jacks, with master bass and treble tone controls to shape the overall sound.

Front-panel controls cover the four mic levels, three aux levels, treble, bass and the left and right output. Aux muting level and priority input level sit on the rear panel where they can be set and left alone. The mixer runs from 100-240Vac mains via IEC, or from a 24Vdc supply on terminals for battery-backed or vehicle use. It measures 482 x 130 x 44mm and weighs 1.43kg, so it fits a standard 19-inch rack with room to spare behind it.
