Description

The Adastra LX6T-W is a wall-mounted PA speaker built for background music and voice announcements in indoor or sheltered outdoor spaces. The moulded ABS cabinet is light, so a single installer can put it up without much fuss, and the compact size means it fits onto most wall surfaces. An integral 2-axis mounting bracket comes fitted, giving you pan and tilt adjustment so you can point the speaker where the coverage is needed rather than settling for whatever angle the wall dictates.

Wiring is flexible. The speaker takes standard 8 Ohm input or 100V line (also written 100 volt line, the constant-voltage system common in commercial installs), with two power tappings on the 100V side so you can balance levels across a run of speakers. Switching to 8 Ohm operation bypasses the transformer for true low impedance performance, which is handy if you are running a short cable to a single amplifier rather than a long distributed line. That switchable bypass keeps one speaker useful across quite different setups.

Weatherproofing is rated to IP66, and it covers the parts that matter: the cabinet, the speaker cones, the aluminium grille and the rear brackets are all treated to cope with damp and dust. That makes the LX6T-W a sensible choice for covered outdoor areas such as walkways, courtyards and terraces, as well as ordinary indoor rooms. It is a straightforward, cost-effective way to add clear sound to a space without a complicated fit. The white finish keeps it discreet against most walls, and a black option is available in the wider range if you need it to blend the other way.
