Description

The Adastra LP8V is a 2-way ceiling speaker built for discreet installation into suspended or false ceilings. It uses a flared baffle and an 8" main driver with a concentric directional tweeter, so the sound stays clear across a wide area. The 160° dispersion angle helps you cover a room with fewer speakers, which suits shops, cafes, offices and other spaces where you want even background audio rather than one loud spot.

Wiring is handled through a rotary selector switch on the speaker. This lets you choose between five 100V line tappings or an 8 Ohms setting, so you can match the speaker to a 100V line (also called constant voltage) system or run it from a standard low impedance amplifier. The 100V option is the common choice for longer cable runs and multiple speakers on one amplifier, giving you simple control over how much power each unit draws.

Fitting is straightforward thanks to four "dog-ear" mounts that clamp the speaker to the ceiling once it is pushed through the cut-out. The magnetic frameless grille sits flush and can be lifted off without tools, and it can be painted to match your ceiling or wall colour. The low profile shape keeps the speaker close to the ceiling line for a tidy finish. Each LP8V is supplied singly, so you can order the exact number you need for the job.

It is supplied singly, so order the quantity you need for your installation.

Can I run it on a standard amplifier?

Yes. The rotary switch includes an 8 Ohms setting for low impedance amplifiers, as well as five 100V line tappings for constant voltage systems.

Can the grille be painted?

Yes. The magnetic frameless grille can be painted to match your decor. It lifts off easily for painting and cleaning.

What ceilings does it fit?
