Description

The Adastra FW-5V is a fire-rated wall speaker built for voice announcements and background sound in public address systems. It uses a 5.25" dual cone driver mounted into a powder-coated steel cabinet, with a detachable front baffle that extends to form part of the speaker basket. The rear of the cabinet has punched holes for hanging and 20mm knock-outs for cable glands, so it goes up quickly on site.

Internally the speaker holds a 100V line transformer and a ceramic terminal block fitted with a thermal fuse, which is what gives the FW-5V its EN54-24 compliance for fire evacuation systems. Four 100V volume tappings at 0.75, 1.5, 3 and 6W let you set the output to suit the room and balance the load across a wider install. The reinforced paper dual cone runs from 120Hz to 10kHz, giving clear speech and steady background music.

Sensitivity is rated at 92dB at 1W/1m, with a maximum SPL of 99dB. The full unit measures 185 x 185 x 70mm and weighs 1.334kg, so it sits neatly on most walls without heavy fixings.
