Description

The Adastra FSV-W is a 2-way foreground speaker built for indoor or outdoor use. The moulded polypropylene cabinet and aluminium grille hold up well outside, with an IP35 weatherproof rating and UV protection to ASTM D4329. That makes it a sensible choice for outdoor events, swimming pools, garden areas and marine or boat installations where the speaker needs to cope with damp and sunlight over time.

It runs on both 100V line and 8 ohm systems, so it fits into distributed audio setups as well as standard amplifier wiring. A rotary selector switch on the back handles the 100V line tappings at 40W, 20W, 10W and 5W, or you can switch to 8 ohm operation for 65W RMS and 130W maximum. There is also an indoor/outdoor equalisation switch, letting you tune the sound for the space it sits in. Connections are made through spring terminals, and the crossover network splits the signal between the 133mm (5.25 inch) woofer and the 13mm (0.5 inch) tweeter.

Each speaker is supplied singly in white, with a black finish also available. A mounting bracket comes included, and M6 screw sockets give you an optional fixing method for more permanent installs. Frequency response runs from 110Hz to 20kHz with a dispersion angle of 145 degrees, so coverage stays wide across a patio, poolside or bar area. At 3.06kg per unit and 252 x 177 x 142mm, it is easy to position on walls or under eaves. The rotary tapping switch means you can set levels per speaker across a larger system without changing the amplifier wiring.
