Description

The Adastra FH30V is a fire-rated horn speaker built for voice announcements and alerts in commercial PA installations. It carries EN54-24 certification, so it meets the standard required for voice alarm and evacuation systems. The moulded housing uses 5VB fire-rated ABS material, and the whole unit is IP66 rated, which means it stands up to dust and heavy water jets in outdoor or exposed indoor locations.

You can wire the FH30V for 100V or 70V line systems using the switchable volume tappings, or run it at 8 Ohm low impedance for smaller setups. Rated at 30W, it suits both speech clarity and general paging duties. Inside, a ceramic screw terminal block and thermal fuse handle the connections and protect the circuit, so a single failed speaker will not bring down the rest of the line. It comes hard-wired with fire-resistant cable and a junction box, ready for a compliant install.

Mounting is by a powder-coated steel U-bracket that adjusts for angle, letting you aim the horn where the sound is needed. The bracket surface-fixes to walls, ceilings or structural points, and the coating helps it hold up in damp or outdoor sites. For anyone specifying a system that has to pass fire safety checks, the FH30V gives you a certified horn speaker (also called a horn loudspeaker) that works across the common voltage lines and impedance settings you are likely to meet on site.

Frequently Asked

What does the EN54-24 rating mean?

EN54-24 is the European standard for loudspeakers used in voice alarm and fire evacuation systems. Certification means the FH30V has been tested for use in life-safety PA installations.

Can I run the FH30V on 8 Ohm?

Yes. It supports 100V and 70V line operation with switchable volume tappings, and it can also be wired at 8 Ohm low impedance for smaller systems.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The FH30V is IP66 rated, so it resists dust and powerful water jets, which makes it fine for outdoor and exposed locations.

How is the speaker mounted?

It surface-mounts using an adjustable powder-coated steel U-bracket, so you can angle the horn towards the area you need to cover.

What protects the speaker in a fire system?

It uses a ceramic screw terminal block and a thermal fuse. The fuse isolates a failed speaker so the rest of the line keeps working.

What power rating does it have?

The FH30V is rated at 30W, suited to voice announcements, paging and general alert duties in commercial installations.
