Description

The Adastra FC5V-B is a compact 2-way background speaker built for indoor and outdoor use. It pairs a 5.25in driver with a 13mm PEI dome tweeter, feeding both through a crossover network to keep the sound balanced across the range. The moulded polypropylene cabinet carries an IP44 rating and is UV protected to the ASTM D4329 standard, so it holds up well in gardens, outdoor shelters, health club spa areas and marine settings.

This is a 100V line speaker with a rotary selector switch, letting you choose between different power tappings or run it at 8 ohms for low-impedance systems. That flexibility makes it easy to add to a larger installed setup or use on its own. An equalisation switch boosts the higher frequencies when the speaker is placed outside, helping keep detail clear in open spaces where treble can otherwise drop off. The dispersion angle of 145 degrees spreads sound over a wide area.

Connection is handled by spring terminals, and a mounting bracket comes included in the box. If you prefer, there are M6 screw sockets for optional mounting. The aluminium grille sits over the moulded cabinet for a tidy finish, and the speaker is available in white or black. Note that the FC5V-B is supplied singly, so order two if you need a stereo pair or wider coverage.
