Description

The Adastra CPM-20 is a condenser paging microphone built for clear announcements in offices, retail outlets and other public buildings. It pairs a short gooseneck stem with a desktop base, giving you a compact hands-free setup that sits neatly on a counter or reception desk. The gooseneck lets you angle the capsule towards the speaker, so voices come through cleanly without anyone leaning in close.

A single paging button sits on the base and illuminates when pressed, so it is easy to see when the microphone is live. Press it again and the microphone switches off. Next to the button is a rotary volume control, letting you set the output level to suit the room and the rest of your system. Output from the base is via XLR, the standard balanced connection used across paging and PA equipment, which keeps the signal clean over longer cable runs.

Inside is a back-electret condenser capsule with a cardioid polar pattern, meaning it picks up sound from the front while rejecting noise from the sides and rear. This helps keep announcements clear in busy spaces. The CPM-20 needs 12-48V phantom power to run, supplied by your mixer or paging amplifier over the XLR cable.
