Description

The Adastra COM230 is a desktop paging station with a built-in dual amplifier, giving you a compact way to run announcements across one or two zones. A gooseneck microphone connects to the base unit via XLR, and each of the two amplifier outputs uses screw terminal (removeable Euroblock) connections. Each output can power a single 8 Ohm speaker or two 8 Ohm speakers wired in parallel, down to a 4 Ohm minimum load per output. You can run it as a stereo Left and Right amplifier or as two separate zones, whichever suits the space.

Paging is straightforward. Select one or both output channels using the buttons on the top panel, then press the Page button to announce to a single area or to all areas at once. There are independent volume controls for the AUX and MIC levels, so you can set background music and announcement levels separately. A pre-set override temporarily mutes the AUX input while you make announcements, then returns it once you finish. The AUX input is a stereo 3.5mm jack that accepts a line input for background music and stays present on both channels permanently.

Output power is rated at 2 x 30W into 4 Ohms and 2 x 15W into 8 Ohms. The unit is powered by an included 16Vdc, 4A in-line DC adaptor supplied with a UK to C7 lead. Assembled dimensions are 450 x 140 x 100mm and it weighs 552g, so it sits neatly on a desk or counter where space is limited.
