Description

The Adastra CC8V is an 8 inch two-way ceiling speaker built for 100V line systems, making it a practical choice for background music and paging across shops, offices, bars and other larger spaces. A rotary selector switch on the speaker lets you set the 100V line tapping or run the driver at 8 Ohms, so you can balance the volume across a run of speakers without extra hardware. The switch is easy to reach during installation, which saves time when you are fitting several units.

Sound comes from a PP mica bass driver paired with a directional dome tweeter, giving a clean and even frequency response for both music and speech. The dispersion angle of 160 degrees spreads the sound widely, so you get consistent coverage without needing to pack speakers tightly together. The whole unit sits in a white polymer frame with a metal grille, keeping it neat against the ceiling and hard-wearing in day to day use.

Fitting is straightforward thanks to the dog-ear mounts, which grip ceiling tiles between 1 and 20mm thick and hold the speaker firmly in place. Spring loaded terminals make wiring quick, so you simply push the cable in without fussing over screw connectors.
