Description
The Adastra BP3V-B is a 3" background speaker built for outdoor and humid settings. It's a weatherproof version of the BC series 100V PA speakers, carrying an IP54 rating so it holds up to dust and splashing water. The main driver uses a water resistant polypropylene (PP) cone, and the tweeter runs a polymer diaphragm, both chosen for reliable operation where moisture is a factor. The cabinet is moulded ABS with a powder coated aluminium grille, finished in black.
Wiring is simple. Each speaker comes with a 1m hard-wired lead already connected, which keeps the IP protection intact all the way back to a junction box or an indoor area. A rotary selector switch on the unit sets the 100V line tapping or switches to 8 Ohm operation, so you can match the speaker to your amplifier and share the load across a run. The BP3V-B is supplied singly, letting you buy the exact number you need for a given zone.
Mounting is covered two ways. A wall bracket is supplied in the box, and there are alternative M6 threaded points if you'd rather fix it another way. The operating temperature range runs from -5°C to +40°C, so it copes with cold mornings through to warm afternoons. It's a practical pick for covered outdoor areas, patios, terraces and other spots where a standard indoor speaker wouldn't last, giving even background sound across a wider set of environments.

Frequently Asked
Is the BP3V-B suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It carries an IP54 rating, so it resists dust and splashing water. It suits covered outdoor areas such as patios and terraces, with the hard-wired lead keeping the IP protection back to a junction box.
Does it work on 100V line systems?
Yes. A rotary selector switch sets the 100V line tapping, so you can run several units on a single amplifier line. The same switch also lets you choose 8 Ohm operation if needed.
How does it connect to an amplifier?
Each speaker has a 1m hard-wired speaker cable already fitted. You run this to a junction box or indoor area, which maintains the IP54 protection along the full connection.
Are speakers sold as a pair or singly?
The BP3V-B is supplied singly. Order the quantity you need for each zone or run.
What mounting options are included?
A wall mounting bracket is supplied in the box. There are also alternative M6 threaded mounting points if you prefer a different fixing method.
What temperature range can it handle?
The operating temperature range is -5°C to +40°C, covering cold and warm conditions in most outdoor and semi-outdoor settings.
