Description

The Adastra BH8V-W is a 2-way background speaker built for indoor or outdoor use, with an IP44 rating that makes it weather resistant against rain and dust. It pairs an extended low frequency driver with a dome tweeter, housed in a moulded polypropylene (PP) cabinet with an aluminium grille. A crossover network splits the audio between the two drivers for clear, balanced sound across the range, so speech and music both come through well in background music and public address (PA) setups.

Operation runs at 100V line or 16 Ohm, giving you flexibility whether you're wiring a long run of speakers on a single amplifier or connecting a smaller local system. The rear carries spring terminals and a rotary volume tapping switch, both kept behind a protective cover to guard against weather and knocks. Setting the tap lets you fix the power draw per speaker, which is handy when you're balancing levels across a larger 100V install.

Each unit comes with a wall mounting bracket that adjusts laterally and tilts to various angles, so you can aim the sound where it's needed and cover a space evenly. The 120 degree dispersion helps spread audio across a wider listening area. Note that speakers are supplied singly rather than in pairs, so order the quantity you need for your layout. The white finish keeps it discreet against most walls and ceilings, indoors or out.
