Description

The Adastra BH8V-B is a 2-way background speaker built for indoor or outdoor use. It pairs an extended low frequency driver with a dome tweeter in a moulded polypropylene cabinet, working through an internal crossover network to keep the sound clean across the frequency range. With an IP44 weather resistant rating, it copes with the damp and dust you get in covered outdoor areas, garden terraces and washdown zones, making it a practical choice for both music and public address (PA) work.

You can run the speaker at 100V line or 16 Ohm, so it fits into distributed installs with long cable runs as well as smaller low impedance setups. The rotary volume tapping switch and spring terminals sit at the rear behind a protective cover, which keeps the wiring tidy and shielded from the weather. Each unit ships singly, so you can buy the exact number you need for a job rather than working around fixed pairs.

A laterally adjustable wall mounting bracket comes with every speaker. It sets to a range of pan and tilt positions, so you can aim the output where it is needed for even coverage across a space. The aluminium grille and 120 degree dispersion angle round out a speaker that suits shops, cafes, bars, sports venues and general background music jobs where reliable, good quality sound matters more than volume.
