Description

The Adastra BC5-B is a pair of 5.25 inch two-way background speakers built for everyday commercial use. Each speaker uses an ABS enclosure with a powder coated steel grille, so they hold up well in shops, bars, offices and other indoor spaces where they need to sit unobtrusively on a wall or ceiling. They come supplied as a pair, ready to connect to a stereo amplifier for left and right sound across a room.

Sound comes from a main driver with a high quality coated paper cone, giving full low and mid-range frequencies. That makes them a sensible choice for both music playback and clear voice announcements, so you can run background music through the day and switch to spoken messages when needed. Each speaker has a standard 8 Ohm impedance, which keeps them compatible with the vast majority of stereo amplifiers you are likely to already have.

Mounting is handled by the included adjustable steel brackets, letting you angle the speakers for wall or ceiling surface fixing. There are also optional M6 screw sockets if you prefer to mount them that way. Do note that connecting leads (speaker cable) are not supplied, so you will need to add your own to suit the run between the amplifier and each speaker. The BC5-B is finished in black, and the range is also available in white if that suits your space better.

Are the speakers supplied as a pair?

Yes, the BC5-B comes as a matched pair, ready to connect to the left and right outputs of a stereo amplifier.

Are connecting leads included?

No. Speaker cable is not supplied, so you will need to provide your own to run between the amplifier and each speaker.

Can I mount these on a wall or ceiling?

Yes. Each speaker includes an adjustable steel bracket for wall or ceiling surface mounting, plus optional M6 screw sockets.

What amplifier do I need?

Any standard stereo amplifier will work, as the speakers have a standard 8 Ohm impedance.

Are they suitable for voice announcements as well as music?

Yes. The coated paper cone drivers handle full low and mid-range sound, making them suitable for both music playback and clear voice announcements.
