Description

The Adastra AT6 lets you turn a single 100V amplifier setup into a flexible six-zone system. Connect it to one or two 100V amplifiers and you get independent volume and source control across six output channels, each able to feed up to 30W to one or more 100V speakers. It's a practical add-on for multi-room installations where different areas need their own settings.

Each of the six channels has a rotary volume switch with 11 positions, an on/off switch and an A/B source switch. When you wire two amplifier outputs into the AT6, one becomes input A and the other input B, so every zone can pick its own audio source and output level. That means one amplifier can carry background music while the other handles announcements, and each room chooses which to play. The AT6 runs completely passive, so there's no power supply to worry about and nothing to fail in that respect.

Connections are made through Euroblock screw terminals: IN A and B, OUT 1 to 6, and a set of 24V mute terminals. Those mute terminals can be wired to an emergency control panel for global muting across all zones, which is useful in venues that need a voice alarm or evacuation override. The unit sits in a 1U 19" rack-mount (US: rackmount) enclosure measuring 482 x 160 x 43mm and weighs 2.39kg. It's a cost-effective way to add zoning to an existing single-output amplifier without rebuilding the whole system.

Frequently Asked

Does the AT6 need a power supply?

No. The AT6 is completely passive, so it doesn't require any power supply to operate. That keeps the wiring simple and gives you one less component that can fail.

How many zones and how much power per zone?

The AT6 has six output channels, and each zone can handle up to 30W maximum feeding one or more 100V speakers.

How does the A/B source switching work?

Connect two 100V amplifier outputs to the AT6 and one becomes input A, the other input B. Each of the six channels then has its own A/B switch, so every zone can independently choose which amplifier source it plays.

Can I use the AT6 for emergency muting?

Yes. The 24V mute terminals can be wired to an emergency control panel, allowing all zones to be muted globally when needed.

What connections does the AT6 use?

All connections are Euroblock screw terminals, covering IN A and B, OUT 1 to 6, and the 24V mute terminals.

Will the AT6 fit a standard rack?

Yes. It's housed in a 1U 19" rack-mount enclosure measuring 482 x 160 x 43mm, so it fits standard rack installations.
