Description

We use these mesh panels to protect the front controls of 19" rack-mount equipment while keeping the gear behind them in view. The steel mesh front lets you glance at your equipment without giving anyone easy access to the buttons, dials or connections. It's a practical way to cut down on accidental knocks and stop unwanted hands from adjusting your setup.

The panel fits a standard 19" rack and comes in 1U, 2U and 3U heights, so you can match it to the amount of front-panel space you need to cover. The hinged front opens on one side and locks shut, and we supply two keys with each panel. When you need to reach the controls, unlock it, swing it open and get to work, then close it again to keep everything secure.

This 3U version covers three rack units of height, which suits amplifiers, mixers and processors with taller front panels. The mesh construction also allows a bit of airflow around the equipment, which helps with heat from active gear. Fixings mount it to the rack rails in the usual way. If you run kit in shared spaces, venues or installs where the public can get close, a locking cover like this is a sensible bit of protection for your control surfaces.
