Description

The Adastra 19RD3U is a steel drawer unit built for storing equipment and accessories inside a standard 19" rack cabinet. It takes up 3U of rack space and gives you a tidy, enclosed spot for the smaller items that tend to go missing around a rack: cables, adaptors, connectors, spare fuses and anything else you want kept close but out of sight.

Security is handled by an integrated lock, and the unit ships with two keys so you have a spare from the start. The handle sits recessed into the drawer front, which keeps it flush and avoids anything catching on it when you reach across the front of the rack. The steel construction stands up to regular use, and the drawer runs on the sort of hardware that suits day to day pulling in and out.

Fitting is straightforward thanks to the rear support brackets, which are both adjustable and removable. That lets you set the depth to match your cabinet or take the brackets off entirely if your setup calls for it. The 19RD3U works in racks used for audio, AV, IT and studio gear, so whether you are building a fixed installation or a mobile flightcase, it slots in alongside your other 19" (19 inch) rack-mount kit.
