The Adams is a 3-light chandelier built around a clear glass sphere enclosed in an antique nickel metal cage, with cast rosette details at each structural junction. The cage divides the sphere into four segments using curved ribs that meet at a decorative neck piece, and three E14 bulb holders sit inside the glass at the centre. The fluted ceiling rose and canopy carry matching rosette motifs, giving visual weight to the upper termination of the chain.

Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms and landings with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier provides ambient light diffused through the clear glass sphere. The 711mm minimum drop (fitting height plus chain) suits standard ceiling heights when hung centrally, while the full 2235mm maximum drop accommodates double-height spaces or stairwells where the fitting needs to be visible from both floors. The chain is adjustable on installation and the 371mm diameter keeps the fitting within typical circulation zones above a hallway or table.

The antique nickel finish presents as a muted grey-silver with darker patina in the recesses of the rosette castings, giving the metal an aged appearance that pairs with both period and contemporary interiors. The rosettes themselves are raised circular medallions with radial detailing, a detail borrowed from Victorian gaslight fittings and classical architectural ornament. What bulbs does the Adams take?

The chandelier takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional glow, or clear filament LED bulbs to show the decorative filament through the glass sphere.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The chain length is adjustable only during installation. Once the chain is shortened and the excess concealed within the ceiling rose, it cannot be re-extended without accessing the ceiling void. If you anticipate needing to change the drop height later, leave the excess chain accessible during fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 711mm minimum drop (fitting plus chain) works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung centrally over a hallway or dining table. For double-height spaces or stairwells, the full 2235mm drop allows the chandelier to be positioned where it remains visible from both floors.

Is the glass sphere removable for cleaning?

The metal cage is fixed around the glass sphere and is not designed to be disassembled for cleaning. To clean the glass, wipe the accessible exterior with a soft, dry microfibre cloth while the power is off and the bulbs have cooled. For interior dust, a gentle air blow or soft-bristle brush through the cage gaps may help, but avoid chemical sprays or water penetration near the electrical components.
