Description
Where our morning light pools on the floor, this low lounge chair holds it in the soft curve of its upholstered shell, the Cognac covering warming as the hours pass. The seat and back form one continuous piece, so it wraps around you without a hard join, and it is set low on an open frame that lets the daylight travel underneath rather than stop at a solid base. The result reads as calm and grounded, a chair to sink into with a book or a cup of tea while the room stays light around it.
The frame is solid Dark Oak, its four legs splayed outward and braced with cross-rails that give the piece its steady, low stance. We kept the profile deliberately unfussy: no wings, no high back and no recline, just a shell that supports you and a base you can see straight through. At 83cm tall and 70cm deep, it settles comfortably beside a sofa or under a window, and at 16.5kg it stays light enough for us to move when we want to rearrange.
Built to last and tested to prove it, this chair meets the EN 16139 (L1) furniture standard, and the textiles carry the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification for your peace of mind. Assembly is quick at around 20min, with the shell fixing onto the oak frame in a few clear steps and no specialist tools needed. Bring it home and it will earn its place quietly, the sort of chair people gravitate to without quite knowing why.
