Description

At 83cm high with a depth of 70cm, our lounge chair holds a low, settled profile that suits a reading corner, a bedroom nook or a spot beside the sofa where a full armchair would feel heavy. It weighs 16.5kg, so we can move it across a room or shift it towards the window without much effort. The proportions keep it grounded rather than tall, and the open frame beneath lets light pass through, which stops it crowding a smaller space. It is designed to sit comfortably alongside a table lamp base or a low shelf without dominating the arrangement.

The form is a single curved upholstered shell that carries both the seat and the back in one continuous line. We cover it in a Cognac polyester, a warm reddish tan that reads soft in daylight and settles to a deeper tone under lamplight. The shell rests on an open solid-oak frame in Black Oak, with four splayed legs and cross-rails that brace the whole piece and give it a light, planted stance.
