Description
The Knightsbridge MLBA6045F is a 600x450mm bathroom mirror with two vertical frosted LED panels built into a pressed steel frame. The mirror runs on 8 x AA batteries, eliminating the need for mains wiring or a nearby socket, making it suitable for installation in bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms where running new electrical circuits is impractical. The integrated SMD LEDs provide 355 lumens at 4000K cool white light across the two frosted panels.
Designed for IP44-rated zones in bathrooms, the mirror can be fitted in Zone 2 (outside the direct shower spray but within the bathroom perimeter). The on/off switch sits on the mirror frame, allowing light control without a separate wall switch. The 35mm projection from the wall gives enough depth to accommodate the battery compartment and LED components behind the glass, while the pressed steel backing provides structural rigidity for wall mounting.
The two frosted panels sit flush within the mirror surface, running vertically down the left and right edges of the glass. This configuration provides even facial illumination for shaving, makeup application and general grooming tasks, reducing harsh shadows compared to overhead-only bathroom lighting. The cool white 4000K colour temperature provides neutral task lighting rather than the warmer tones typical of decorative lighting. Battery life depends on usage frequency, but typical daily use of 10-15 minutes gives approximately 3-4 months between battery changes.

Frequently Asked
Can this mirror be used in a shower enclosure?
No. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for Zone 2 in bathrooms (outside the direct shower spray area), but not for Zone 0 or Zone 1 where water jets or immersion are likely. It can be fitted on a bathroom wall outside the immediate shower enclosure.
How long do the batteries last?
Battery life depends on usage frequency. With typical daily use of 10-15 minutes (morning and evening grooming), expect approximately 3-4 months between battery changes. The mirror requires 8 x AA batteries (not included).
Is the light dimmable?
No. The mirror has a simple on/off switch only. The LEDs run at a fixed output of 355 lumens at 4000K cool white.
What fixings are needed?
Wall fixings are included. The mirror mounts via keyhole slots or screw points on the pressed steel backing. Choose screw type and wall plug based on your wall construction (plasterboard, masonry, tile-on-plasterboard).
