The red neon indicator lights when the switch is in the on position, giving visual confirmation of circuit status.

Designed for controlling electric cookers, ovens, hobs and ranges rated up to 45A (10,350W at 230V), the switch can handle multiple cooking appliances on the same circuit provided the combined load stays within the 45A rating. The double pole switching cuts both conductors when off, preventing the appliance from being accidentally turned on during cleaning or servicing. What does the neon indicator show?

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the heavier gauge wiring typically used for 45A cooker circuits. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The smoked bronze cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the switch and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring.
