Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP switch is a double pole cooker control unit with a built-in neon indicator, housed in a smoked bronze screwless faceplate. The switch isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing full circuit isolation for maintenance, repairs or safe cleaning of cooking appliances. The red neon indicator lights when the switch is in the on position, giving visual confirmation of circuit status.

Designed for controlling electric cookers, ovens, hobs and ranges rated up to 45A (10,350W at 230V), the switch can handle multiple cooking appliances on the same circuit provided the combined load stays within the 45A rating. The double pole switching cuts both conductors when off, preventing the appliance from being accidentally turned on during cleaning or servicing. The 47mm minimum back box depth accommodates the heavier gauge wiring typically used for cooker circuits.

The smoked bronze finish is a warm, semi-translucent metallic coating over premium grade steel, offering a softer alternative to chrome or brass in kitchens with darker cabinetry, exposed brick or industrial styling. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed.
