Description

The ESP TMPROSHD is a 4-inch touchscreen CCTV test monitor designed for field installation and servicing of analogue HD cameras. The monitor supports standard definition, 720p, 1080p and 4 megapixel camera resolutions, allowing installers to verify camera feeds on site without returning to a main control room or NVR. The monitor includes a 12VDC 1A power output socket that can power a camera directly during testing.

Designed for CCTV installation professionals, the monitor fits in a tool bag or jacket pocket and runs on an internal rechargeable lithium battery rated for up to 7 hours of continuous operation. The touchscreen interface provides PTZ camera control, allowing pan, tilt and zoom functions to be tested during commissioning or fault diagnosis. The monitor ships with a protective carry case to guard the screen and controls during transport between sites.

The 4-inch LCD touchscreen provides enough resolution to assess image quality, verify camera angle coverage and check focus without needing to carry a laptop or tablet. The unit weighs 320g unboxed, making it substantially lighter than a typical tablet-based test solution. The combined touchscreen and power-out capability means an installer can commission a camera from a ladder or scaffold position without needing mains power or a second person to verify the feed from ground level.

Frequently Asked

What camera resolutions does it support?

The monitor supports standard definition analogue cameras, 720p, 1080p and 4 megapixel HD-TVI, HD-CVI and AHD cameras. It does not support IP cameras directly — those require network connectivity rather than direct video input.

How long does the battery last?

The internal rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 7 hours of continuous operation. Actual runtime depends on screen brightness settings and whether the 12V camera power output is being used during testing.

Can it power a camera during testing?

Yes. The monitor includes a 12VDC 1A power output socket that can supply power directly to a camera during field testing, eliminating the need to run temporary mains power to the camera location.

What's included in the box?

The monitor ships with a protective carry case, mains charger for the internal battery, and the necessary video input cables. See the Product Manual link above for the full accessory list.
