Description
The Knightsbridge 4-gang modular faceplate is a matt white screwless surround designed to house euro module inserts for custom AV, data and telephone installations. The plate accepts four 25 x 50mm euro modules, two 50 x 50mm modules, or a combination of both sizes, allowing installers to configure HDMI, USB, coaxial, Ethernet, telephone and other connection types in a single wall plate.
Designed for media walls, home offices, meeting rooms and residential AV installations, the faceplate provides a clean, professional finish for wall-mounted connectivity. The screwless design uses a separate metal sub-frame that fixes to the back box, with the matt white cover plate clipping over the frame to hide all fixings. A built-in gasket between the plate and the wall reduces dust ingress and gives a tighter fit against the mounting surface.
The premium-grade steel construction adds rigidity compared to plastic faceplates, preventing flex when connectors are plugged in and removed repeatedly. At 147.5 x 87.5mm, the plate covers a standard 2-gang UK electrical footprint, making it compatible with existing wall cut-outs where older double sockets or switches have been removed. The 4.3mm projection from the wall is low-profile, suitable for installations where furniture sits close to the outlet.

Frequently Asked
What euro modules fit this faceplate?
The plate accepts any standard euro module insert in 25 x 50mm or 50 x 50mm formats. Common modules include HDMI, USB, coaxial, Ethernet Cat5e/Cat6, telephone, VGA, 3.5mm audio and blank plates. You can install four single-width modules, two double-width modules, or a mix of both.
What back box depth is required?
The faceplate itself is only 4.3mm thick, but the required back box depth depends on the euro modules you install. Most HDMI and data modules need a minimum 35mm back box, though some deeper modules (particularly those with rear cable retention) may require 47mm or more. Check the specific module datasheets before installation.
Can the plate be removed after installation?
Yes. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or module connections, making it easy to redecorate or swap modules later.
Is this IP-rated for bathroom use?
No. The IP20 rating means the plate is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installations where moisture is present.
