Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, and hospitality environments where multiple lighting circuits need independent dimming control from a single plate, the 4-gang configuration allows separate control of ceiling lights, wall lights, floor lamps, and table lamps on different circuits. The 2-way wiring supports control from two locations, such as opposite ends of a hallway or at top and bottom of stairs. Each gang operates via a push on/off action with rotary dimming, and the dimmer trims, mode switches, and resets are all accessed from the front control knob.

The dimmer ships preset in trailing-edge mode, which suits most modern LED fittings. If flicker or buzz occurs with specific LED bulbs, the front control knob allows a switch to leading-edge mode without removing the plate or re-wiring. Overload and overheat protection are built in, plus an inrush current limiter to handle the surge when dimmable LED or halogen bulbs are switched on. Trailing-edge dimming suits most modern LED and low-voltage halogen fittings by cutting the trailing edge of the AC waveform. Leading-edge dimming cuts the leading edge and works better with older incandescent and some high-wattage halogen loads. This dimmer ships preset in trailing-edge mode and can be switched to leading-edge mode via the front control knob if flicker or buzz occurs with specific bulbs.

Can I mix different LED bulb brands on one gang?

No. Knightsbridge specifies that all lamps controlled by a single gang must be the same brand, wattage, and type. Mixing different lamp brands or wattages on the same circuit can cause flicker, hum, or premature dimmer failure due to incompatible driver electronics.

What back box depth is required?
