Description
A shallow opal white disc that sits tight to the ceiling, held inside a white ring that keeps the edge crisp. The LED and its driver are built in, so there is no lamp to buy and none to replace: 36W of neutral 4000K light spreads through the whole face of the diffuser rather than pooling in one bright spot. At 39cm across it reads as a modest circle overhead, and the shallow depth means it barely drops into the room below.
Sealed against dust and splashes, it suits the damper corners of a house: bathrooms and shower rooms, utility rooms, cloakrooms, a small kitchen ceiling. We fit these on landings and in hallways where headroom is tight and a hanging fitting would only be in the way, and in box rooms where a broad, even wash is more use than a directed beam. The cool white tone is brisk rather than cosy, which is why we would keep it for working and washing rooms rather than a sitting room you want to soften at night.
The face is opal white, so the light source stays hidden and the disc glows as one piece, while the surrounding trim is white and disappears against a painted ceiling. Keep it looking right by wiping the face now and then with a cloth wrung out in warm water and drying it off after; nothing abrasive, and not while the fitting is still warm. It is not dimmable, so run it from a standard switch. It carries a five year warranty. We would use it as the quiet, everyday layer in a room and let a lamp or two do the decorative work.

Frequently Asked
How much light does it give out?
2880 lumens in total from the integrated 36W LED, spread across a wide 120 degree output so it lights the floor and walls fairly evenly.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
Yes. It is IP54 rated, meaning it is protected against dust and splashing water, which covers a normal bathroom or shower room ceiling away from direct spray.
Can I put it on a dimmer?
No. It is non-dimmable and should be wired to an ordinary on/off switch.
What shade of white is the light?
4000K cool white, a clean neutral tone that sits between warm yellow and a blue daylight white.
How big is it and how far does it project?
386mm in diameter and only 45mm deep, so it stays close to the ceiling line. It weighs 0.60kg.
What happens when the LED reaches the end of its life?
The LED is integral and rated for around 25,000 hours of average life, so the fitting is replaced as a whole rather than relamped.
