Description
A shallow opal white disc with a slim white ring around its edge, sitting tight to the ceiling and spreading light widely rather than throwing a single bright pool. The LED and driver are built in, so there is nothing to fit inside: 24W of neutral-cool 4000K light, crisp against white paint, pale tiles and light timber. At 30cm across it lights a decent area without taking over a small ceiling.
We reach for fittings like this where a pendant would hang too low: hallways, landings, box rooms, utility spaces and the top of a stairwell. The body is sealed against dust and splashing water, so it is also at home over a bath or shower area and on a kitchen ceiling where steam and cooking grease are a fact of life. Output is fixed rather than dimmable and there is no pull cord, so it works from the room's wall switch. Anywhere the ceiling is low and the light needs to be honest and even, this earns its place.
Construction is light and simple, an opal diffuser under a plain white trim that keeps the rim neat. Cleaning: turn it off at the wall, then take the dust off the diffuser with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away, leaving solvents and cream cleaners well alone. It carries a five year warranty. The white finish is quiet enough to disappear into a ceiling, which is what we want from a flush fitting; in a long hallway we would run several evenly spaced rather than rely on a single central fitting. The LED is integral, so there is nothing to replace over its life.

Frequently Asked
How much light does it give out?
It produces 1920 lumens from its 24W integrated LED, which is a useful amount for a hallway, bathroom or small bedroom ceiling.
What size is it and how far does it drop from the ceiling?
The diameter is 300mm and the height only 45mm, so it stays close to the ceiling and keeps headroom clear.
Can I put it on a dimmer switch?
No. It is not dimmable and should be run from an ordinary on/off wall switch.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
Yes. It is rated IP54, which covers dust and splashing water, so it is fine for bathroom and shower room ceilings as well as kitchens and utility rooms.
What sort of white is 4000K?
A neutral cool white, cleaner and brighter looking than a warm 2700K lamp, and a good match for tiled and painted surfaces.
How long should the LED last?
It is rated at an average life of 25,000 hours, and as the LED is integral there is no lamp to change.
