Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24DL is a 24V LED strip light supplied on a 50m reel, emitting 6000K daylight white light at 530 lumens per metre. The strip uses 60 x 2835 SMD LEDs per metre on an 8mm-wide flexible PCB, drawing 4.8W per metre and requiring a 24V constant voltage driver to operate.

Designed for internal architectural and accent lighting where a cool daylight white is needed, the strip suits under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, display case illumination in retail, recessed cove lighting in commercial interiors, and task lighting in workshops or technical spaces. The maximum single run is 20m without voltage drop issues, so longer installations require additional power injection points at 20m intervals. The strip can be cut every 100mm at marked cutting points, allowing precise length customisation on site.

The flexible 8mm-wide PCB arrives with 3M self-adhesive backing, allowing direct application to clean, dry surfaces including aluminium profiles, timber, plaster or MDF where surface preparation is adequate. The 1.2mm profile thickness means the strip fits recessed aluminium channels designed for tape lights without protruding above the profile edge. IP20 rating restricts use to dry internal environments only — bathrooms, wet rooms and outdoor applications require higher-rated alternatives. The strip is dimmable when paired with a 24V dimmable LED driver and compatible dimmer control.

The 6000K colour temperature produces a crisp, cool white light that enhances concentration and visibility in task-oriented settings. CRI >80 provides reasonable colour rendering for general applications, though critical colour-matching work may benefit from higher-CRI alternatives. The L70B50 rating of 54,000 hours indicates the point at which 50% of LEDs will have degraded to 70% of their original output under test conditions — approximately 6 years of continuous operation.

The strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage LED driver. For a 50m reel drawing 4.8W per metre, the total load is 240W, so a driver rated at 250W or higher with headroom is needed. For shorter runs, calculate the wattage (length in metres × 4.8W) and choose a driver rated 10-20% above that figure.

Can it be cut to length?

Yes. The strip can be cut every 100mm at marked cutting points along the reel. Cuts must be made at these points to maintain circuit integrity. Knightsbridge also offers this product through a cutting service where custom lengths can be supplied pre-cut.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a 24V dimmable LED driver and a compatible dimmer control. The strip itself does not contain dimming electronics — all dimming is controlled via the driver and external dimmer switch or controller.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

Not in wet or damp zones. The IP20 rating restricts the strip to dry internal environments only. For bathroom zones or any damp location, use an IP65 or IP67-rated LED strip instead.
