Description

The ESP MON23L is a 23.8" LED-backlit CCTV security monitor with HDMI, VGA and BNC inputs for connecting to DVRs, NVRs and analogue security cameras. The LED backlight provides consistent brightness across the 1920x1080 Full HD panel while consuming less power than traditional CCFL displays. Two built-in 2W speakers handle audio playback from connected devices without needing external amplification.

Designed for control rooms, reception desks, retail back-of-house monitoring and home security setups, the monitor supports simultaneous connection of multiple video sources and allows switching between them via the on-screen menu. The BNC input accepts composite video from analogue cameras and older DVR systems, while the HDMI and VGA inputs handle digital signals from IP camera recorders and network video recorders. The unit operates within 0-40°C ambient temperature and 10-80% humidity, making it suitable for most indoor environments where CCTV monitoring is required.

The monitor ships with a desktop stand that provides tilt adjustment and positions the screen at typical desk viewing height. For wall-mounted installations, the rear panel carries VESA standard mounting holes compatible with 100x100mm or 75x75mm monitor arms and brackets. The internal power supply removes the need for an external power brick, and HDMI and VGA cables are included in the box.

Can I connect both a DVR and an IP camera NVR at the same time?

Yes. The monitor has three separate video inputs (HDMI, VGA, BNC), allowing you to connect multiple sources simultaneously and switch between them using the on-screen menu. This is useful when running both legacy analogue systems and newer IP camera networks side by side.

What resolution does the monitor display?

The panel is 1920x1080 Full HD. Most modern DVRs and NVRs output at 1080p via HDMI, which the monitor will display at native resolution. Lower-resolution analogue cameras connected via BNC will be upscaled to fit the panel.

Does it support audio playback from the connected DVR?

Yes, via the dedicated audio input and the two built-in 2W speakers. Many DVRs and NVRs have audio output sockets that can be connected to the monitor's audio input jack.

What's in the box?

The monitor, desktop stand, internal power cable, HDMI cable, VGA cable, and user manual. BNC cables are not included and need to be purchased separately if connecting to analogue camera systems.
