Description

The Knightsbridge BT20ACT is a 20W LED bulkhead with switchable colour temperature settings at 3000K, 4000K and 5700K, housed in a white polycarbonate body with an opal diffuser. IP65 rated for dust and water ingress protection, the fitting suits both indoor and outdoor wall or ceiling mounting. The CCT switch on the rear of the fitting allows the light temperature to be changed on installation without needing multiple stock variants.

Designed for commercial corridors, stairwells, car parks, external building entrances, industrial units and residential outdoor areas, the bulkhead provides wide 115° beam coverage from a low-profile 81mm projection. The hinged LED gear tray allows access to the terminal block and driver without removing the entire fitting from the wall, reducing maintenance time when re-wiring or replacing components. The push-fit terminal block accepts cable without requiring a screwdriver.

The 380mm diameter diffuser spreads light evenly across a 3-4m radius at typical mounting heights of 2.4-3m, making it suitable for patios, porches, garage interiors, and multi-occupancy building common areas. Lumen output varies by CCT setting: 1730lm at 3000K warm white, 1930lm at 4000K neutral white, and 1855lm at 5700K daylight white. The polycarbonate construction resists impact and UV degradation in outdoor installations, and the Class II double-insulated design removes the need for an earth connection during fitting.

What does CCT adjustable mean?

CCT stands for correlated colour temperature. A switch on the rear of the bulkhead allows you to select between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, or 5700K daylight white during installation. This setting remains fixed once the bulkhead is mounted and powered.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against water jets from any direction, making the bulkhead suitable for bathrooms when positioned outside shower enclosures or bath zones requiring higher IP ratings. Check current bathroom zone regulations for your specific mounting location.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the gear tray and is not user-replaceable. The L70B50 rating of 50,000 hours indicates the LED will maintain at least 70% of its initial brightness for approximately 50,000 hours of operation under normal conditions.

How is it wired?

The bulkhead uses a push-fit terminal block accessed via the hinged gear tray. Push the mains cable into the terminals without needing a screwdriver. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required, only live and neutral.
