Description
Satellite feeds terminate on F-type connectors, and this plate carries two of them side by side on a single square face, so a twin tuner receiver or recorder can be fed without doubling up on plates. The colour is navy blue, deep and even, and the screwless front clips over its own frame so the face is left clear of any fixing heads. At 88mm square it keeps to the familiar single plate footprint, with a shallow moulded profile that sits close to the wall.
It suits rooms where the television and satellite gear is on show: a sitting room wall behind the screen, a study, a bedroom with its own feed, or a media corner where two runs arrive and both need terminating tidily. We like a coloured plate in rooms painted in something darker than magnolia, where white plastic tends to jump out at you. Anyone finishing a room in navy will find this reads as part of the decoration rather than an interruption to it.
The plate is moulded in polycarbonate with the colour running through the material, so knocks at the edges do not reveal a pale core underneath. The connectors are the usual threaded F-type, so leads from any satellite receiver will screw straight on and stay put. To clean it, use a barely damp cloth followed by a dry one; solvent cleaners and kitchen sprays will dull the surface, so keep those well away. It carries a ten year warranty. Use is indoor only, on low voltage satellite and data circuits rather than anything mains carrying. It is one we would choose where a whole run of navy plates is going in across a room and the aerial and satellite points need to match everything else on the wall.

Frequently Asked
What size is the plate?
It measures 88mm by 88mm on the face, with a 25mm depth behind, which is the standard single plate size used across most British switch and socket ranges.
Why two connectors rather than one?
A twin tuner satellite receiver or recorder needs two separate feeds to record one channel while you watch another. Both terminate on this one plate.
What are the connectors?
Standard threaded F-type, as used on satellite cabling. Leads screw on by hand and grip the outer braid and centre conductor.
What is the plate made from?
Polycarbonate, moulded in navy blue so the colour is present through the material rather than sprayed on the surface.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20 and intended for dry indoor rooms only.
How should it be cleaned?
A lightly damp cloth, then a dry one. Avoid solvents, abrasive creams and general purpose sprays, which can mark the finish.
