Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate is an 87.5mm square polished chrome screwless plate designed to accommodate euro-module inserts for custom AV, data and telecom installations. The faceplate accepts either two 25x50mm euro modules or a single 50x50mm euro module, allowing installers to build bespoke configurations combining TV coax, HDMI, Ethernet RJ45, USB, telephone and other low-voltage connections behind a single faceplate.

Designed for residential media walls, commercial meeting rooms, hotel headboards and office workstations where custom connectivity is needed, the screwless cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to the back box. This means no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 4.3mm projection from the wall keeps the faceplate flush with most contemporary wall finishes.

The polished chrome finish provides a mirror-bright reflective surface that pairs well with modern kitchens and chrome hardware throughout contemporary interiors. The steel construction carries a Class I earth terminal and IP20 rating for indoor dry-location use. The integrated gasket between the cover plate and sub-frame provides a snug fit and hides the back box aperture once the plate is clipped on. Required back box depth varies depending on the euro modules installed, with most standard modules requiring a 25mm minimum depth.

The 2-gang plate accepts either two 25x50mm euro modules side by side, or a single 50x50mm euro module. Common euro modules include TV coax, HDMI, Ethernet RJ45, USB-A, USB-C, telephone RJ11, satellite F-type and speaker terminal inserts. Modules are sold separately and clip into the sub-frame before the cover plate is fitted.

What back box depth is required?

Back box depth depends on the euro modules you install. Most standard euro modules require a 25mm minimum back box depth, but some deeper modules such as HDMI couplers or bulkier data connectors may need 35mm or 47mm boxes. Check the specific euro module datasheets before installation.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The polished chrome cover plate clips onto a steel sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the faceplate and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or euro module inserts.
