Two RJ45 data ports sit on a single square plate, finished in a bright teal moulding with chrome-coloured surrounds framing each module. The plate is screwless, so the front face stays clean with nothing breaking up the colour, and the teal is moulded through the polycarbonate rather than laid over it as paint. The ports accept Cat 5 and Cat 6 patch cabling, so a fast network run and an older one are both at home here. The plate itself is compact, square rather than oblong, and reads as a deliberate flash of colour on a wall.

We keep this for rooms where cabling should arrive properly rather than trail across the floor from a router. A study or home office wall, a desk in a bedroom, the space behind a television where a set top box and a console both want a wired connection: both ports on one plate cover all of it. It is a data socket only, so power for the equipment comes from a socket nearby. The bright teal suits a painted feature wall, a child's room or a workshop bench, anywhere a plain white plate would vanish. Indoor rooms only, and on data circuits.

The plate is moulded in polycarbonate, a hard plastic that holds a strong colour well, with the chrome inserts giving the ports a crisp edge.
