Description

The Knightsbridge Sherpa is an 18W outdoor LED bulkhead with a 360mm die-cast aluminium body finished in black and a round opal polycarbonate diffuser. The integrated LED gear tray allows switching between three colour temperatures before installation: 3000K warm white (1680lm), 4000K neutral white (1790lm), or 6000K cool white (1810lm), selected via a switch on the driver compartment.

Designed for building perimeters, covered walkways, parking areas, and loading bays where robust outdoor lighting is needed, the bulkhead carries an IP65 rating for full protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The die-cast aluminium housing and impact-resistant polycarbonate diffuser meet vandal-resistant specifications, making the fitting suitable for accessible public areas, schools, and multi-occupancy residential buildings.

The 110° beam angle distributes light evenly across pathways and entrance areas without creating harsh hotspots. At 92mm projection from the mounting surface, the bulkhead sits close to the wall while the 360mm diameter provides adequate coverage for spacing at 4-6m intervals depending on ceiling height. The constant-current LED driver is rated for 50,000 hours at L70B50, meaning 70% of initial lumen output is retained after 50,000 operating hours.

The fitting operates on 230V 50Hz mains and requires a Class I earth connection. The rear entry point accepts standard UK electrical conduit and the fitting can be surface-mounted to masonry, blockwork, or metal surfaces using the pre-drilled mounting holes in the base. A 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failure.

The CCT is selected via a switch on the LED driver before installation. The three options are 3000K warm white (1680lm), 4000K neutral white (1790lm), and 6000K cool white (1810lm). Once the fitting is wired and sealed, the colour temperature cannot be changed without opening the housing.

Is it suitable for exposed outdoor locations?

Yes.
