Description

The Knightsbridge CBL15SS is a 950mm-high LED bollard light constructed from 304 stainless steel with an integrated 15W SMD LED module casting 810 lumens of warm white 3000K light through an inverted funnel reflector. The clear lens diffuses the light in a full 360° pattern around the bollard, providing pathway illumination without glare from a fixed point source.

Designed for residential driveways, garden pathways, commercial walkways and public spaces, the bollard carries IP65 and IK07 ratings for water, dust and impact resistance. The IP65 rating allows outdoor installation in exposed locations subject to rain and hose-wash cleaning, while the IK07 impact rating provides protection against accidental knocks from garden equipment, bicycles and pedestrian traffic. The bollard is supplied with an anchor bolt mounting kit, 1m of outdoor-rated cable and an IP68 cable gland for below-ground cable entry.

The 304-grade stainless steel body resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments better than mild steel or aluminium. The 160mm diameter and 950mm height position the light source at mid-shin level for most adults, allowing the 360° output to reach across a typical 1.2-1.5m pathway width without creating pools of darkness between bollards. The constant-current LED driver is rated for 45,000 hours to L70B50, meaning 70% of the original lumen output after 45,000 hours of operation.

What spacing is recommended between bollards?

For a continuous pathway lighting effect, position bollards 3-4 metres apart on a straight pathway. For wider driveways or areas requiring higher light levels, reduce spacing to 2.5-3 metres. The 360° output allows bollards to be staggered on alternating sides of a path rather than running in a single line.

How is the bollard installed?

The bollard is supplied with an anchor bolt mounting kit for fixing to a concrete base or paving slab. A 1m cable runs from the base of the bollard and connects to mains supply via the included IP68 cable gland, which is designed for below-ground cable entry through conduit or armoured cable.

Can it be used in coastal locations?

Yes. The 304-grade stainless steel construction offers corrosion resistance suitable for coastal and high-humidity environments. Regular rinsing with fresh water will extend the service life in salt-spray locations.

Is the LED replaceable?

The SMD LED module is integrated and not user-replaceable. The constant-current driver is rated for 45,000 hours to L70B50, equivalent to approximately 12 years of operation at 10 hours per night.
